mojogobo is devoted to pop culture via movies, TV, music, theatre, and whatever else strikes our fancy. We like trends, look at both the past and present, and address the frivolous, the not-so-frivolous, and the spectrum in between.

We don’t capitalize our name because “M” is too pointy and angular beside a series of “o”s.

In case you’ve not encountered a gobo: it’s a metal, plastic, or glass template, inserted over a light fixture, that creates patterns, like blinds, trees, letters, or water. Basically, gobos shape light and shadow. They are frequently used in theatre. And by DJs. And superheroes; the Bat-Signal is produced by a giant gobo.
